Conexión África: the 2nd AENAGA Business Conference fills Agüimes and soytuexportmanager signs with La Española

Ponentes de las II Jornadas Empresariales AENAGA en el Teatro Auditorio de Agüimes

May was a month of milestones of our own: we coordinated the 2nd AENAGA Business Conference from start to finish, took the firm’s Atlantic outlook to the ULPGC’s Paraninfo and signed an agreement with one of the big names in Spanish olive oil.

“The intelligent company” fills the Teatro Auditorio in Agüimes

The second edition of the AENAGA Business Conference was held on 13 and 14 May under the banner “La empresa inteligente: competir, crecer, liderar” (the intelligent company: compete, grow, lead). IBC Spain, together with Avant, took on the coordination end to end, from designing the programme to the post-event wrap-up. The first edition was a single-day event; this one was a two-day forum with more than 600 registrations.

The opening address was given by Marc Vidal, a global reference on the Top 100 Thought Leaders 2024 list, and the institutional opening was led by the president of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, Antonio Morales, and the mayor of Agüimes, Óscar Hernández, alongside the president of AENAGA, Cornelio Suárez. Twenty-six speakers, four round tables — taxation, commercial expansion, talent management and artificial intelligence — and a hands-on AI workshop. The detail is in the project profile: 2nd AENAGA Business Conference.

Bridge to Africa: “The Canary Islands are not close to Africa, they are at its door”

On 26 May our director spoke at Bridge to Africa 2026, the ULPGC initiative that brought academic, business and government institutions from Europe and Africa together in the university’s Paraninfo. The idea that has guided our work since 2009: the Canary Islands are not close to Africa, they are at Africa’s door.

soytuexportmanager signs with La Española

soytuexportmanager has signed an agreement with La Española, one of the best-known olive oil brands in the Spanish food industry, to drive sales of its products in West Africa. It is the clearest demonstration of the model: we do not hand over reports, we act as the manufacturer’s commercial team in the destination market. You can see how it works at soytuexportmanager.
