IBC Spain has contributed to the development of the new Strategy of the Directorate-General for Economic Affairs with Africa of the Government of the Canary Islands. The Strategy takes a new approach to external economic action with Africa and will focus on the growing networks of innovative and entrepreneurial companies that are increasingly thriving in the African economy.
This strategic planning is based on four lines of action, which aim to establish a global system of support for all initiatives that may favour joint economic growth with our neighbouring region:
1. Economic diplomacy and territorial cooperation.
2. The development of Canary Islands-Africa innovation.
3. Training and knowledge transfer between the Canary Islands and Africa.
4. Strategic information, one of the main lines to be developed over the coming two years.
