Official presentation to the Ivorian authorities of the two reports IBC Spain produced during 2024 on digital transformation and vocational training, under the INTERREG VI-D MAC 2021-2027 programme, co-financed at 85% by the European Regional Development Fund.
What we did
IBC Spain ran the seminar end to end: preparation with Casa África, the Gran Canaria Chamber of Commerce, the Ivoire Innovation Cluster, the CIPME, the Delegation of the European Union and the Spanish Embassy; individual follow-up until 49 confirmed participants; and delivery on site at the Hotel Azalaï in Abidjan.
Who attended
Some thirty senior representatives, among them the European Commission — Marc Lobet, in charge of the INTERREG MAC programme at DG REGIO, who travelled specifically for the seminar — the EU Delegation to Côte d’Ivoire, the Ambassador of Spain, the Government of the Canary Islands and the Office of the Ivorian Prime Minister, together with VITIB, the Grand-Bassam Technology Park, and GOTIC CI, which brings together 200 ICT companies.
What came out of it
The seminar did not end with the presentation. The discussion produced a proposal for tax incentives for the ICT sector which, five days later, was channelled as a request for technical assistance to the Government of the Canary Islands, worth up to 15,000 euros per assistance.
